Wood, John: How Fiction Works

This graduate fiction workshop will concentrate on the form, theory and practice of fiction. Workshop participants are required to (1) write a minimum of 45 pages of original fiction (e.g. several short stories and/or chapters of a novel-in-progress); (2) fulfill specific assignments on narrative strategy; (3) participate in all workshop discussions, and (4) submit written comments on peers' manuscripts.
To be considered for admission to this course, please submit 12-15 photocopied pages of your original fiction, along with an application form, to Professor Mukherjee's mailbox in 322 Wheeler BY 4:00 P.M., TUESDAY, OCTOBER 26, AT THE LATEST.
