C.S. Giscombe wins 2008 American Book Award for Prairie Style
Congratulations to poet and essayist Cecil Giscombe, whose Prairie Style (Dalkey Archive Press, 2008), received an American Book Award for 2008. The American Book Awards, established in 1978 by the Before Columbus Foundation, recognize "outstanding literary achievement from the entire spectrum of America's diverse literary community"; they "are not bestowed by an industry organization, but rather are a writers' award given by other writers."
