Professional Statement

My poems, essays, critical articles, stories, reviews, interviews, etc. have appeared in many periodicals in the US and abroad. These include Yugen, Kulchur, Floating Bear, The Capitalist Bloodsucker, Granta, Open Space, Island (Toronto), Tish (Vancouver, BC), Poetry (Chicago), TriQuarterly, Occident (UC Berkeley), The Park (London), Revista de Bellas Artes (Mexico, DF), Chicago Review, Antioch Review, Sumac, Ohio Review, Early American Literature, Aspen Leaves, Entretiens (Paris), Essays in Literature, Lettera (Cardiff, Wales), Boundary Two, Berkeley Poetry Review, Berkeley Fiction Review, Conjunctions, etc. My book reviews have appeared in the New York Times Book Review and in the San Francisco Chronicle Review. I continue to serve as a contributing editor to the William Carlos Williams Review.
