African American Literature

The University of California, Berkeley, seeks to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor (Ph.D. required by the end of first year of appointment) specializing in African American Literature and Culture after 1900, with a preference for scholars working within the context of the African diaspora. The appointment is to be effective July 1, 2008, subject to budgetary approval.

  • two copies of both CV and writing sample of no more than 6000 words
