Title/Employer: Stiles Hall Mentors and Tutors
Description:

Stiles Hall has been around for over 130 years serving the Berkeley community. Throughout the 50’s and 60’s, this non profit organization played a significant role in bringing activists like Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X to our campus prior to the Free Speech Movement.

Today, Stiles Hall is in the forefront of private initiatives to promote inclusion at Cal. Our dedication to engage UC Berkeley students with the larger Berkeley community has been successful throughout the years.

  • Mentors are matched with children from local elementary schools to foster a positive relationship and yield role models, friends, and advocates. Mentoring Sites are LeConte Elementary and Rosa Parks Elementary.

  • Tutors provide space to create strong one-on-one relationships through structured supervised tutoring. Tutoring Stiles are LeConte Elementary, Cragmont Elementary and King Middle School.
