Through close scrutiny of selected texts, students will explore forms and theories of the novel. The aim of the course is to discover the intimate connection between the authorial choices of narrative strategies and the construction of meaning. Particular attention will be paid to the authors? representation of national culture or invention of national identity. Some of the written assignments will include creative writing options.
