Egan, J. ed.: The Best American Short Stories, 2014
This class will be conducted as a writing workshop. We will discuss the stories in the assigned anthology and writing by students in the class. Assignments will include three short writing exercises, two new short stories, and critiques of classmates' work.
Only continuing UC Berkeley students are eligible to apply for this course. To be considered for admission, please electronically submit 8-10 pages of your fiction (no poetry, drama, screenplays, or academic papers), by clicking on the link below; fill out the application you'll find there and attach the writing sample as a Word document or .rtf file.
