Margaret Ronda holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of California-Berkeley, where she is currently a Roberta C. Holloway Postdoctoral Fellow. Her areas of specialization include nineteenth- and twentieth-century American poetry and poetics, aesthetic and genre theory, and poetry-writing.  Her first book of poetry, Personification, won the 2009 Saturnalia Books Poetry Prize, and her poems and essays appear in journals such as Aufgabe, AGNI, Fourteen Hills, Gulf Coast, Pool, and Prairie Schooner.
