Dissertation Writing

The Graduate Writing Center assists graduate students in the development of academic skills necessary to successfully complete their graduate programs and prepare for future faculty and professional positions. This unit offers workshops on topics such as academic writing, grant writing, dissertation writing, editing, and preparing articles for publication, in addition to writing groups and individual consultations on these topics for graduate students (Link)

Student Travel/Entertainment Reimbursement Forms

Please make sure you read the instructions on each form. All travel reimbursement forms must be submitted to the Graduate Advisor.

If your trip starts on July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022, it would fall under the 2021-22 academic/fiscal year.

If your trip starts on July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023, it would fall under the 2022-23 academic/fiscal year.

Graduate Student Computer Lab Policy

Use of the computer lab is voluntary.

All registered graduate students may have access to the computer lab.  If you are unable to log in to these computers, please contact the Graduate Adviser.

The university provides a number of commercial software products on your personal computers for free as UC Berkeley students. This includes the entire Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft O365 suites. You will find links to these products here:  https://software.berkeley.edu/productivity-software

The Graduate Assembly has joined with the ASUC to purchase campuswide student subscriptions to the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal All currently registered graduate students are eligible. The subscriptions offer full online access to all news content from both papers.
