Tim Wood is an English professor at Nassau Community College in Garden City, New York. He is co-editor of The Hip Hop Reader (Longman, 2008) and writes about the poetics of hip-hop as well as conceptual and visual poetry, ecocritical poetics, and the epic. His two books of poems, Otherwise Known as Home (BlazeVOX, 2010) and Notched Sunsets (Atelos, 2016), experiment with the relationship between time and poetic form. He has been a Fulbright scholar at the University of Tübingen in Germany and is the Holloway Lecturer in the Practice of Poetry at U.C. Berkeley in Spring 2024.
