Philanthropy allows us to support our students on a financial level and sustain many of the programs that enrich our students’ experience with literature and extend it beyond the formal classroom setting. Your support helps fund transformative student experiences such as trips to local theater productions and museums, as well as travel to archives and conferences. Gifts also allow us to support our graduate students with fellowships, subsidize student book-buying, recognize exceptional student work with prizes, invite renowned writers and scholars to speak with our students, and foster community through support of our graduate and undergraduate associations.
A current use fund providing unrestricted support to graduate students in the Department of English in the Division of Arts & Humanities, within the College of Letters & Science. In addition to fellowships and stipends, at the discretion of the department chair, the Fund may be used for other expenses benefiting graduate education and graduate research in the department.
