Students interested in leading a DeCal course in the English Department for the Fall 2025 term must submit their application for review via the English Department DeCal Proposal Form by Friday, June 27, 2025.
For planning purposes, please note that the proposal consists of the following:
- A completed Course Proposal Form
- A syllabus
- A letter of support from a member of the English Department faculty
- Please ensure that you've completed the necessary training before submitting the proposal to us. The Department will let you know whether it has approved your course for consideration by the Academic Senate's Committee on Courses of Instruction (COCI) via email. If the department approves your proposal, you must submit all required materials directly to COCI by its deadline.
- Decals may be offered for 1 or 2 units. See details on the Course Proposal Form.
- Only ONE facilitator is allowed - Co-Facilitators will not be considered
