If you are trying to take an approved Engl 90,100 or 190 to satisfy a "Literatures in English" or "pre-1800" major requirement, you will need to take an "additional elective" to meet the 12 total major course requirement.  Always check your Academic Progress Report (APR) to review your progress in the major.
